VERMICELLI SALAD

 

APPLE-PEAR SALAD - Bluejeans2219
 
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup red swine vinegar
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp finely chopped onion (optional)
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
2 medium apples, cubed
2 medium pears, cubed
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/2 to 1 cup chopped cashews
 
In a blender or food processor, combine the sugar, vinegar, lemon juice, onion, and salt.  Cover and  process until blended. 
In a salad bowl, combine Swiss cheese, apples, pears, cranberries, and cashews.  Serve immediately or can be refrigerated overnight.
This is also delicious served over lettuce!!

 

Sharon's Fruit Salad-Tatonkamama
 (Really good and beautiful too)
 
1/2 Pint Whipping Cream (Whipped)
6 Tablespoons of Dry Jell-O (the only one I haven't tried is Lime)
6 Ounce package of Cream Cheese (Softened)
2 Cups Miniature Marshmallows (I've used both just White or the Colored ones)
1 Can Pineapple Tidbits drain and save at least 1/3 cup of the juice.
Jar of Maraschino Cherries chopped (Size? to your taste) drained well
Chopped Walnuts or Pecans (Amount? to your taste)
Mix 1/3 cup of Pineapple juice with the softened Cream cheese well.
Fold in all Ingredients gently and chill for at least 1 hour

 

LIME CHEESE SALAD - Secreast

3/4 cup boiling water

3 ounces cream cheese (softened)

14 large marshmallows

1 small box line Jell-O

Heat the above until all is dissolved

but do not boil .let cool and then add:

1 small can crushed pineapple (undrained)

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/3 cup evaporated milk

1/2 cup chopped pecans

3 tsp. lemon juice

mix well and put into mold or bowl

 

This is good at, Christmas or Easter

 

 

CORKSCREW SALAD-Tatonkamama
 
Cook, rinse and cool 2 packages Corkscrew Macaroni
Add:
1 can Spam (cubed)
1 Cup Velveeta cheese (cubed)
3/4 cup Chopped Celery
Chopped Onion to your taste
Green Bell Pepper  (chopped) to your taste
In a separate bowl mix the dressing:
2/3 Cup Miracle Whip dressing or Mayo. of your choice
1/4 cup French Dressing
1/4 cup Cream
2 teaspoons Sugar
Salt and Pepper to your taste
Mix the dressing and gently fold into salad-chill for an hour.
 

 

VERMICELLI SALAD-Tatonkamama
This one makes quite a bit and gets alot of compliments.
 
1-10 ounce package long spaghetti
4 Stalks chopped Celery
1 Green Bell Pepper chopped (I use 1 Green and 1 Red)
1 bunch of Green Onions chopped
1-10 Ounce bottle of Kraft Italian dressing
1 teaspoon Poppy seed
1 teaspoon Celery seed
1/2 teaspoon Caraway seed
1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (I use a bit more...careful)
1/2 cup Sweet Pickle juice
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
 Salt and Pepper to taste
 
Cook the Pasta according to directions on package...drain and rinse till cool
Mix all seasonings with dressing and pickle juice.. Mix all well and chill for 24 hours.
I gently toss once in awhile to keep all coated well.......
